I have the constant urge to be obscure for no real reason. That's the first thing you should know about me...

With that being said, hello and welcome to the world of Be • Blue! Born and raised in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri (on the Illinois side of the river) - My name is Blake Bluemner and I'm a 22 year old kid with some pretty big dreams!

I'm a musician, producer, photographer & videographer and I'm on a mission to inspire conscious thinking that will hopefully lead to some positive change in a world that has become overtaken by negativity, greed, and selfishness. How do I plan on achieving this you may ask? Through the magical medium of music making, of course! My music covers a wide spectrum of styles, including but not limited to: Instrumentals (groovy, melodic, relaxing, upbeat, etc.), Indie/Alternative (hip hop, rap, rock, pop), Acoustic, and more! 

When all is said and done - I create music for the people out there who truly listen to what it's saying.

I grew up listening to all types of music and some of my biggest influences include: Jon Bellion, Aer, Mac Miller, Mod Sun, Chiodos, Kid Cudi, Matt & Kim, Shwayze, Bob Dylan, FTSK, Pierce the Veil, The Format, Relient K, FOB, Say Anything, Chance the Rapper, Cris Cab, Hawthorne Heights, Shinedown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a hell of a lot more! 

I picked up my first instrument, a toy keyboard, at the tender age of 3. From that point on, music consumed me. When I was a little older, my parents bought me my first guitar and, per my request, enrolled me in some music lessons at the local music shop here in town. I decide to quit taking lessons after a year because they were too formal and by-the-book for me. That's when I really began teaching myself how to play. 

I've spent the last 5+ years of my life teaching myself how to record, compose, mix music.
Some people would consider the amount of time I spend on it excessive and/or obsessive (really, ask anyone who knows me), but at the end of the day, I think that just shows my level of dedication to following my dreams and doing what I love!

I graduated from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in May 2016 & received Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with specializations in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
